Gooner Review Released The Gooner Review is an 85-minute film made by Gooners for Gooners on the 2008 - 2009 season which was released on DVD on 1st August. The film is a perfect companion to Arsenal FC's official season review. Whereas the official season review has all the goals and interviews with current players, The Gooner Review analyses the top ten most significant moments of the season from an independent supporter's viewpoint. The film features interviews with Nick Hornby, Bob Wilson, Perry Groves, Joe and Clive Swift, Peter Marinello, Tom Watt, Judge Jules and many others. So you can find out what they made of the season including the unbeaten run, the captaincy issue, the semi-finals, Arsene's performance as manager and many other key issues. 100% of all profits from The Gooner Review 2008 - 2009 will go to Bob Wilson's charity The Willow Foundation. Ticketing The first meeting this season of the Fans Forum heard that there had been 1,900 non-renewals of lower and upper tier season tickets. There are now 35,000 Gold members, 25,000 Silver, 76,000 Red, and over 40,000 on the ST waiting list. Of 3,000 requests to relocate season tickets, only a small percentage could be fulfilled. After the Alkmaar away ticket problems, the Club have said that in future they will send emails to away-scheme members in advance of Euro away on sale dates. AISA has made several other specific proposals regarding the away-ticket scheme and is awaiting a response from the Club. AISA members have agreed to seek "a commitment from the Club that season-ticket prices for season 2010-11 will be frozen". The motion, agreed by a large majority at the AISA AGM, also calls for "discounts available to platinum members for 2, 3 and 4 year payments in advance to also be available to gold members", and for the Club's ticketing policies to "be more transparent, with changes discussed with supporters groups before implementation."
New for 2009/2010 Work has now started on the inside at the Emirates making it feel more Arsenal then concrete jungle. SAS were lucky enough to get a sneak peep at the work being done when we helped put the scarf's on the seats for the Pompy game. More work is continuing to make the place more red and white
Mark Ramprakash New Member At the recent charity match at Corinthian Casuals ground the Taylor brothers got to meet up with Surrey and England's Mark Ramprakash. Being a gooner and representing Surrey we felt it was only right to offer Mark honorary membership to the SAS. Which he accepted. We hope to contact Mark near the time of our visit to the Oval on the 27th June and hope for him to meet up with fellow members. We can only try.
